Not a true statement. A young person who is just building their nestegg,
WANTS the market to go down, as long as it does not stay down. The reason
is simple. By dollar cost averaging, you will end up with more money,
when
the market does have these corrections, because in the end you will end up
with a whole lot more money, than if the market went up all the time.
