The New York Giants give me hope! This team had to scrape and fight
their way to a fifth seed in the NFL playoffs. Once there, they
proceeded to systematically dismantle the top three teams, defeating
the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and finally, the New England
Patriots. Those three teams had a combined 44-6 regular season record!
The New York team might be called the Giants, but they were really
David wielding a slingshot against the mighty Patriots, whom some had
already dubbed as the greatest team ever assembled. Their win was more
than improbable; it was considered by many to be next to impossible.
Most experts rank their upset victory in the top five upsets in the
history of American team s****ts.
What does any of this have to do with stocks and bashers and busting
the bashers? Everything! The forces we battle every day are the
heavyweights of Wall Street. They are entrenched, mightily funded,
incredibly powerful, and at first blush, appear invincible. They are
Insiders controlling billions in revenue, driving stocks up and down
at will.
Here we are with our upstart website, little more than a slingshot in
our hands, facing mighty Goliath. But we face him without fear. We
face him with boldness and confidence. The stone we hurl is called
Truth. With a steady hand, we will find the soft spot of this giant.
We will because, if things are ever going to change, we must.
We have a huge responsibility, great hopes...and giant expectations...and
not an ounce of quit in us. We believe in underdogs. We believe in
happy endings...and we believe in the power of teamwork.
