Futuris Opel - I feel cheated

Have shareholders been cheated here? I feel like it's a bit of a crappy 
outcome terminating the agreement but I don't really know who I would 
blame.

How can it have possibly cost 15 million for Futuris?!

There are three possible parties to blame:

FCL management. Should they have been more careful and not applied for 
the funding or somehow avoided the possibility of losing 15 million? I'm 
not entirely convinced, the Libs offered them the money and they had 
every right to expect it!

Labor. I don't really blame labor, the whole deal seemed to be a bit 
stupid and a bit poorly thought out in the first place. It doesn't make 
sense to start duplicating networks or having several projects costing 
billions of dollars that are going to overlap.

Liberals. This is my favorite choice. It did after all seem like a knock 
together deal that was just a political stunt.

Is it likely that FCL will see any sort of compensation for the costs?

Oh well. That's life I guess.
