According to Tasmanian Bass MP Kim Booth, that's the total number of jobs
in clear-felling Tasmanian native carbon sinks. The ecological genocide
that these 330 jobs are causing is absolutely mind-numbing. Almost
permanent drought in much of South Eastern Australia, permanent chemical
contamination of Tasmanias water supplies with the herbicide atrazine,
dioxin contamination of the entire Bass Strait fishery with carcinogens
from the Tamar pulp mill, designed to chew-up the priceless carbon sinks
and habitat for endangered species as well as the Tasmanian devil facial
tumour disease, now known to be caused by aerial-spraying herbicides that
contain fire retardant. How long before Tasmanian PEOPLE start developing
facial tumors? The harsh truth is that the company Gunns Ltd, the main
culprit in this insanity is kept solvent entirely on subsidies from the
