The Earth Day Festival, a free concert on the National Mall, was
suspended just before 2:30 p.m. today when the skies cracked open with a
rainstorm ...
After a 50-minute delay, the festival resumed - but not for long.
Organizers soon cancelled the rest of the show because of continued
rain.
