Tasmania is the ecological pressure-cooker that created the worlds first
Greens Party. In this island ecosphere one vandals actions immediately
impact on everybody else. Unlike mainland Australia where a dead wetland
or toxic housing estate can go un-noticed for months or even years. The
rush to turn somebodies life-sup****t system into anothers quick-buck is a
global reality. Consider the Tassie Greens recent 'chemical trespass'
legislation. Its simply a law that forbids one landholders toxic chemical
sprays from contaminating a neighbors water supply or crops. Could be a
life or death situation could it not? Just like school kids who can't take
peanuts to school because of another kids violent allergic reaction that
could lead to death. The bill was opposed by both Tasmanian Liberal and
Labor because they are both corrupt, and accept huge party bribes from the
islands only wood-chip company. Thats why there is an almighty struggle
for the control of the future in Tasmania. Its life or death and the bent
politicians are slowly realising that they will be removed from office if
they maintain the corruption.
