I wouldn't try to tell him anything. I'd simply remind him that we're
eight 
months before the election, and that anyone in July of 07 (eight months
ago) 
who predicted that in March of 08 Obama and Clinton would be neck and neck

and McCain would be the nominee would have been locked up in the loony
bin.

This is politics, and things change fast.
