If the Fed cuts 75 basis points next week, the interest rate on margin
money from my broker will be 3.75%, 0.5 points below inflation. I can't
recall that ever happening before. Even the dividend stream on many stocks
is higher than that. Look for a new bubble in stocks if that continues for
an extended period.
