The highest standards??? The International Building Code was dessigned
to get by as cheap as possible with the highest profit margin. The
things wont's survive the mortgage.

three years old "best Standards", high end home, of a friend, has cracks
in the exterior The foundation is only inches deep and if we have a
freezing period of over a few days, they will have another major
headache as it is built on soil that is constantly moist. The plumbing
is pex. that is all you have to say about it. It's flashy and looks
super from a distance. The studs were not even dry when they slapped it
together.
