BuffetHater... y'all suggested that fuel prices may have to double to
get people to consume less... in my travels that i do each week to
research business investment op****tunities, i've noticed that the
trucks indeed have slowed down, given that diesel of late is $3.94 per
gallon... most suppliers are adding fuel surcharges, because of the
higher diesel prices, thus why everything that consumers buy has gone
up in price... and i've found that most cars are also slowing down,
with only perhaps 20% of drivers still speeding...

Im not Buffethater, but let me say that stopping speeding is only the very
tip of the iceberg. Prices can easily double, or more.
Fuel, in the not so distant future, may well cost a lot of money. This is
because
we (1) do not produce enough petroleum to feed the gas hogs, and (2) our
foreign sources want more profits and dont really give a caca if we cannot
afford to fuel our tastes in vehicles, and (3) the fact that the global
production
of fossil petroleum is on the downturn while other countries are now vying
for
those fuels.
We are humped, unless something magical happens.
We are approaching a wall that our American ego cannot even vault us over.
There is a limited amount of petroleum in the world, and WE DO NOT OWN THE
MOST OF IT.
We can survive it, but we cannot surf over it with our arrogance.
