When do you buy more of the same

by "Rob" <rob@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 25, 2008 at 02:56 PM

I'm a newbie and I was just wondering when you buy more of something you
already own. Obviously everyone wishes they'd have bought more in the
first
place but if your ****tfolio keeps increasing in value when do you decide
to
buy more of the same stock(s) instead of just making new picks.

Maybe a good example would be when apple split a couple years ago and it
kept climbing. On top of the fact that your ****tfolio just doubled would
you
have made another buy? And if it kept increasing like it did would you
have
bought again.

Maybe you first bought at $40 and it split and started climbing over 50,
60
80 etc.
