Pericom Semiconductor Cor****ation engages in the design, development, and
marketing of integrated circuits (ICs) and frequency control products
(FCPs) used in advanced electronic systems. Its products are used for
transferring, routing, and timing of digital and analog signals within
and between computer, networking, data communications, and
telecommunications systems. The company's IC products include PCI and
PCI-X bridges and packet switches, and drivers, receivers, and
transceivers; low-voltage differential signaling products; SiliconSwitch
products; application-specific standard products; analog switches and
digital switches; SiliconInterface product line; redrivers/signal
conditioners; gates; SiliconClock IC products; clock buffers and zero-
delay clock drivers; voltage controlled crystal oscillators; clock
frequency synthesizers; and programmable clocks. Pericom's FCPs include
crystals that resonate at a precise frequency, and crystal oscillators
used in various electronic devices. Its ICs and FCPs are used in various
applications, such as notebook computers, servers, network switches and
routers, storage area networks, digital TVs, cell phone, global
positioning satellite systems, and digital media players. The company
markets and distributes its products through its internal and field sales
organization, network of independent sales representatives, and

FROM THE 10K QUARTERLY RE****T:

The semiconductor industry experienced an upturn in demand for its
products during the quarter ended December 29, 2007 but customer demand
for semiconductors can change quickly and unexpectedly. Our net revenue
levels have been highly dependent on the number of new orders that are
received for products to be delivered to the customer within the same
quarter, also called "turns" orders. Because of our lack of visibility
into demand when turns orders are high, it is difficult to predict which
products to build to match future demand. We believe the current high
level of turns orders will continue indefinitely. The sustainability of
customer demand is uncertain and our markets are highly dependent on
worldwide economic conditions. The high level of turns orders together
with the uncertainty of product mix and pricing makes it difficult to
predict future levels of sales and may require us to carry higher levels
of inventory.

Pericom Semiconductor Expects Sales in the Upper-Half of Its Target Range
for 3Q

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Pericom Semiconductor Corp. expects sales in the
upper-half of its target range for the third quarter because the circuit
maker is winning more deals to make products for desktop and notebook
computers, the company said Monday.
Pericom now expects sales of $39.6 million to $40.7 million for the
fiscal third quarter, which ends this month. In January, the company
forecast sales of $38.5 million to $40.7 million, and analysts polled by
Thomson Financial expect sales of $39.3 million.
