Governor of Minnesota,

Even on topics where he is right he comes off sounding like a buffoon

Of course not. That would require some intellect and some understanding
of politics.

He pretty much sounds like what an independent

No, an "independent" like all politicians in any political party should
sound like professionals, not buffoons. They should be for something
and have real solutions to our problems, not just being against
everything and wanting to tear down everything.

To those who like knee-jerk conspiratorial reactions to our problems
instead of solutions.

Boy are you really that dumb? You think he will make 150 million off
this book?

Oh yes, it makes political novices like you feel good about yourself to
just bash the system instead of making real change. We don't need a
two-party system true, we need a multiparty system like most other free
states in the world, where there are many different ideas expressed.
Ventura wants to do away with parties altogether and have it just be
about individuals. No free democratic nation in the world is without
political parties. They are necessary for a free state. We need more
of them in power, not less.

   Perhaps, that is our

And if you had no political parties, that is what you would send to
Wa****ngton. It would become about personalities instead of ideas.
Maybe you want a Juan Peron for President but I don't. Jesse Ventura is
not at you describe him. He is basically a rough-talking windbag. And
the smooth-talker would beat the likes of him each time. Not that it
would be any better or worse.

Can anyone name one president that measured up to the above

During what time period? The last 220 years?

There is no Bush/Clinton dynasty. That is another conspiracy theory for
the likes of Ventura.

You don't get the picture. I am not a big fan of the Clinton's or any
of the "new democrats". We need a progressive liberal in the White
House. But under Clinton we did not have deficits nor "tattered
diplomatic relations" as we did under Bush and Reagan.

The likes of you would be easily persuaded by some right-wing extremist.
