help: Desperately searching for a ****tfolio software

by Bullish <memento.semper@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 5, 2008 at 09:39 AM

Hi to all,
I'm searching for a ****tfolio management software but I can't find
anything that suits my needs. I really made a deep research but it
seems that I can't find any program that is really complete.
I'm mainly operating on stocks, both with long and short positions. No
options or funds.
Basically, I want a program that

1- permits to store manually my previous trades and evaluate gain/
losses

2- add more watchlists and automatically (or semi-automatically)
recover all the stocks or a given index.

3- add (even manually is ok) my current trade/s to the ****tfolio (of
course, this is the main function of a ****tfolio manager) both in long
and short position.

4- plot the trend of my capital (and eventually permits me to ex****t
it as excel file)

5- see how much of my capital is invested (a pie chart would be
enough)

6- automatic update of prices

Other minor stuff would be very appreciated, as follows:

1- compare the performance of my ****tfolio with some benchmarks

2- estimate the % gain (one month, one year)

3- gain/loss of every trade could be automatically compared with the
benchmark of an index (in %)

4- good level of customization (i.e, permits me to select the source
of the price updates)

I tried a lot of programs (Quote tracker is cool, but I can't add
manually my previous trades; ****tfolio Manager is the closest to my
needs, but does not have plotting functionality nor benchmarking, O
Trader has other lacks, Aptistock either, I've tried other programs
but no one has more than two or three points).

If you don't think that there is a program that suits most of my
needs, please tell me. If you think that I could solve all my problems
by using two (or three) different programs, please also tell me what
is the best solution.

Thanks really a lot,
Simone
