O/T - The Stuff of Life (Comix = Yoo)

by Doobie Keebler <kooper.db@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 26, 2008 at 08:21 AM

Got a minute?

Watch this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLL7O9hIloA

The Stuff of Life' exposes the reality of the 'waterboarding' torture
technique.

The CIA uses waterboarding to try to extract information from
detainees in the 'war on terror'.

President George Bush thinks it is a 'necessary tool'.

I disagree with President Bush. I think it's torture, and it's un-
American.

Here's what Professor of Constitutional Law Jonathan Turley had to say
about it:

"It's really amazing, Congress, including the Democrats, have avoided
any type of investigation into torture because they do not want to
deal with the fact that the president ordered war crimes. But,
evidence keeps on coming out. The only thing we don't have is a group
picture with a detainee attached to electrical wires."
- Jonathan Turley

In case you missed this news item, the 'torture memo' written by John
Yoo of the Justice Department states that torture isn't really torture
unless it kills the suspect, and that President Bush's wartime
authority trumps torture law. According to the Justice Department's
Office of Legal Counsel, the President has the authority to order
torture, including cru****ng the testicles of a suspect's child.

Don't believe me?

Listen to Justice Department Deputy John Yoo, author of the 'Torture
Memo' defend his position in a debate with Notre Dame Law School
Professor Doug Cassell:

Outrageous! John Yoo is, as you just heard for yourself, literally a
laughingstock, yet his 'torture memo' is still President Bush's
policy.

How about you? What do you believe? Where do you stand?

Are President Bush and his staff guilty of war crimes?

Think about that question when you go to the polls in November.

The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced;
the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled.
Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't
want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of
living on public assistance. (Cicero, 55 BC)
