I hear your discontent with the idea of going in debt for $2T to
rebuild the country's infrastructure. On the same token, think about
how much it will cost us in compounding inefficiencies snd losses over
time should we elect to do nothing. I.e. detours and traffic backups
due road and bridge closures, power outages, communications
bottlenecks, air traffic snarls , etc... If we go into debt to
correct this, it is only an investment in ourselves (when was the last
time America did that???) and we owe the money to nobody else but
ourselves. It is money far better spent in the long run than pissing
it away in an idiotic war and brain dead energy programs (ethanol)
destined to fail. Don't even get me started in free trade agreements!
