In the USA, the "free market" can work until it runs afoul of price fixing
or price
gouging problems. This is a mixture of "supply and demand" plus a healthy
dose
of price gouging.
Nontheless, if I own all the "sauerkraut juice" in the world, and you need
it, I can
pretty damn well charge what the market bears.
This is a defensive situation. If you dont like the prices, stop using so
much gasoline,
turn off your lights when you arent needing them, bicycle to work, dont
waste water.
They have our cashews in a nutcracker. The only strategy is to "become
stale".
