All that doesn't matter for the markets.  Stock yields are still beating 
"safe" bond yields by a decent margin so it is basically impossible to 
be in a bear market run.  But see Don's recent post on decoupling.  Much 
of the rest of the world is still kickin' butt pretty good.  I suspect 
you are focusing on the wrong "facts".  Just tryin' to be helpful during 
your doom and gloom. ;-)

Just look at the two stock contests; most people are beating the market 
with quite a few in the green.  I don't think that would happen in a 
real bear market.  Plus out of all the picks in the 2008 game, only one 
pick was a short.
