Along this vein, our Pomeranians (who are pin-heads) are refered to in our
dog books as "less intelligent than they appear". This is especially
surprising as one always has a dopey grin on his face. Someone told me
that
this is because Poms were bread solely for the purpose of maximizing
cuteness, and therefore other qualities fell by the wayside. Perhaps
somewhere there is an explanation why all the "pundit babes" are
Republicans -- right-wingers get to watch Laurie Dhue and Ann Coulter
while
we have Elanor Clift. It seems that among the qualities of intelligence,
mastery of "pundit speak", and good looks, we can only pick 2 at most.
