I wonder if Wolfram ever mentioned Galileo balls rolling down inclined
plane in connection with the concept of history repeating in blocks. I
doubt it.

And I have been writing on this subject for perhaps more than 2 years now.

I think Wolfram is a "fractalist". Something I would characterize as a
person
who finds a huge interest in fractals and then magnifying this fractal way
out
of pro****tion. Similar to the "stringalists" of decades earlier. Guys who
fell
in love with string theory and began covering the world in strings. If I
had a
broader reading of the history of science, I am sure that in the decades
before
stringalists was some other faddish science imposed upon science.

Fad-science:

string theory 1980-1990
fractal theory 1990 -2003

And I am really uninformed about that history, in that fractal theory may
have
even been an offshoot or a subset born out of string theory. Perhaps some
of these fad lovers are a hybrid stringalist who have ventured into
fractal
theory.

In a sense, Big Bang was a huge fad science that still is with us today.
Black
hole theory is another fadd science. Perhaps string and fractal fads are
to
mathematics what Bigbang and Blackhole are to astronomy/physics.

Now I suppose one can argue that fractal theory can hint of history as
repeating blocks without ever having to settle the question of can you
have a fractal theory be universal and how it would fit with a BigBang
or not fit with a BigBang.

But to me, that is poor logic. Because if you assign such huge im****tance
to Fractal theory that Wolfram assigns then you must confront the issue
of whether it agrees with the Big Bang or contradicts the Big Bang. And
Wolfram has shyed away from that debate and ignored it completely.
