Idiocy. There is no such thing as a "free market" where there is an
absence of "force". A market requires the enFORCEment of property
rights and contracts in order to exist.

-----------------------------

SPOT ON ! :)

In order for enforcement of property rights and contracts, one needs a
Govt
to define them and enshrine them into Law , those laws need guidance under
a
constitituion, a constitution needs a High Court, a high court needs a
Govt
to appoint it and a high court needs some arm of enforcement, so they need

the Govt to appoint people to run Jails, and hire Police, and build Court
houses .... etc etc because unless there are fair rules, and justice in
those rules being applied, people just won;t follow the rules of common
sense and decency ... ie Maybury's 3 Laws as one example.

SOooooooo by now it should be obvious that without a Govt, there is NO
economy, free enterprise, or trade, or economic growth, and without Taxes
there is no Property Right enforcement, therefore business exists because
of
the existance of Govt and Taxes .... and oddly enough Social Security and
whole lot of other things Ideological extremists can't seem to fathom as
being necessary ..... it;s called being a part of a "community" ... and
it;s
thru that existance that a Business man or an entreprenuer gets his chance

and op****tunity to be a business or an entrepreneur, or a stock trader
even
..... and if it wasn;t for the Govt there wouldn;t be an Internet ... and
without the Internet there would be no DotComs, and no Google to invest
in,
and less profits from these growth businesses that keep the whole
community
buzzing along. Without the Govt, be they good or bad, the gravy train and
the party would stop within days.

So it's not the Govt that's the problem though what they do from time to
time is! And everyone knows that any Govt in a free democracy always does

what the "people want" .... but the people get confused between what they
want .... and what the Govt of the day tells them they want ... and in
some
cases what they think they want is to invade another nation on the far
side
of the globe or they will all be dead from chemical weapons within weeks.
......... and guess who ends up paying for that at the rate of $1 trillion

all up per year being scared of things go bang in the night? <smile>

But of course, for some, the real problem is lazy people waiting to retire

on their SS handout and how much that system strangles the economy and
milks
money ffrom hard working wise folk who know how to play the stock market
.... mmmm ok, if that is what you believe that's what you believe.

The real ignoramuses are those who mistake their toy economic models
for reality.

It would appear that YOU do NOT want to discuss the consequences. I'm
sure there are both benefits and drawbacks to this approach. Throwing
out labels like "socialist, "collectivist", "commie", and "anti free
market" does nothing to advance the discussion of consequences.
