Now one reason that came to my mind after the two trades of 2,000 T
for
2,020 VZ is the fact that the Governor of New York is caught up in a
scandal. That is a shame because I was much admiring of Mr. Spitzer's
cleaning up of Wall Street crime. I think he should finish out his
term as
governor of NY since he did so much good in cleaning up crime. I see
his
scandal as so minor compared to all the good he has done that he
should
finish out his term as governor.
But could the scandal have been behind the action of VZ today that it
fell
below the price of AT&T? Perhaps the traders of VZ cut their normal
volume
being caught up in the news of what the Governor was going to do.
If that is the case that VZ price today was short of AT&T because of
the
Governor of NY scandal. Well, I thank my lucky stars because buying
VZ due to a political scandal is always a welcome buy since it is not
really
business related to VZ specifically. So in a sense, I caught VZ off
guard,
for otherwise VZ would have closed higher than AT&T today. And I would
not have been able to run a switch campaign today.
Perhaps that is the reason VZ ended lower today is due in large part
to
the governor scandal.
