Silver will displace USD to become the world's reserve currency

Unlike gold, silver is available in sufficient quantities to both hold
a good ****tion of a country's dollar reserve or to back a country's
currency.  It has the added advantage of being a consumed metal - as
in consumed by industry.

The ongoing fiasco with the USD has exposed the dangers of placing
trust in fiat currencies and their issuers - the banks.  Banks
inevitably get greedy, flood the world with these currencies and
destroy all faith / trust in their value.  Once trust is destroyed,
all is lost because fiat currencies are inherently based on trust
alone.

If indeed this is the end of the dollars dominance in global trade
(especially oil) and as a reserve currency, it is a tectonic ****ft in
the global balance of power.  US economic wealth rests on the backs of
surpluses generated by other countries in exchange for this entity
called a dollar.  If its value is believed to be worthless, the sub-
prime morgage mess would be a storm in a teacup by comparison.

So my prediction is after lowering interest rates and finding out
things are just getting worse, the feds will quickly hit reverse and
start raising interest rates rapidly.  Its the only thing they can do
to shore up sagging confidence in the dollar.
