Well... greed is greed. We don't need another name for it. It's
the OCD with the money and the interest and the crazy
and the...glaivin.

That is a very Aristotilean standard. It also assumes that
people will be capable of producing something of interest
to other people until they die. Given global warming, we
are sure to be short of ice floes...
Aristotle accused those who charged interest of reifying
the symbol of value with value itself. I am loath to argue
with him ... and his negation, since there's not a clear case to
be made for the charging of interest other than... oh,
the last 1000 years of history.

Methinks you should review the idea of "put your money where your mouth
is" and the entire literature devoted to revealed preferences. To
quote "House" - "everybody lies", but they do so less when money
is involved.
