I really did not make clear what my loss was by doing this action of
today. Let
me be more clear. In October of 2002 when this all began, I could have
used the
$461,000 to buy only one company of SBC (now AT&T) and bought 21,300
shares.
Or, during that six years of trading at one point I had 23,000 shares
of AT&T
by utilizing the Optimal Strategy. So today I have 16,560 VZ plus 200
AT&T for
a total of 16,760 shares.
So, although the ****tfolio is worth $652,000 on April 1, 2008 rather
than $461,000
on October 2002, that I had 21,300 AT&T in Oct2002 and 23,000 AT&T
sometime
in the interim of 2002 to 2008, that the ****tfolio only contains now
16,760 of those
share wealth units.
This is a hard cold fact of monetary reality, where people are lured
into thinking
they are zooming ahead, when in fact they are losing. And, maybe I did
the transaction
just so that I could write about and point it out in this book. Also,
it is coincidence
that the share wealth units is the famous number of USA history--
