this is an end of empire cylce collapse..with every single one of the
long established and constantly repeating markers... there are many
reasons why these do not and cannot reverse, restructure or recover...
the biology of all living things provides both direct and analogous
examples.     This mess will bite the the dust, the land and the
peoples will remain, a new system will emerge, that will be tough as
hell the first 50 years.. then a reboot.   .. struggle up, affluence
for a generation, then lazyness, corruption and decay for a
generation, then another collapse.

in the meantime (260 years or so) one depression ever generation, and
various recessions in between..those are the cylces we can recall and
expect.

the end of empire cycles are separated by 4 or 5 generations, so there
is no cultural recall of what sets those in motion.    Human nature
sets them in motion...we get lazy, we are ego centric (naturally and
rightly to a major extent), these bred the various courrptions that
ruin a people then the nation,
