You are adamant on refusing to believe what you know is coming.
Besides that your anger is clouding your knowledge of history.
Fist, that "China's empire was the Mongol empire, some 1000 years ago"
is pure nonsense. Mongols came from Mongolia, not China. Like China,
India was a part of this Mongol empire at one point.
Second, that any colonialist "left voluntarily" is also nonsense. By
their nature, colonialists arrive for the purpose of thievery of
resources much like US in Iraq today. There is no honor among thieves
either invading or departing. Therefore there is no question of a
'sudden moral realization' that what they are doing is wrong. It's
always a confluence of international factors (like the rise of Soviet
Communism sup****ting revolutionary anti-colonialist movements) and/or
domestic factors (unity among the all Indians) which puts an end to
colonialism. The same will happen to the US in Iraq.
Like the now defunct British empire, US govt too is fighting this
'downsizing' trend. The Iraq war is a last ditch attempt to grab onto
something of value. Vast resources are invested in the US military
and if there is no 'return on investment' it is a huge loss. Hence
the reason US starts these wars in the first place.
This coming recession will mark a ****ft in the global balance of
power. By the end of it, US will emerge weaker and the world will
move towards mutli-polarity or multiple centers of power. Its
curtains down on what was the American century.
