I did a similar (pointless) round of this type with our Brat a couple
of months ago and got as exactly nowhere as you will get.

You have to put this together with others of his various rants and
spewings and it becomes clear that what he means by "free speech" is
"mob rule". Why for example should we have higher taxes on the rich?
Because, according to Brat, the majority of people want it. Of course
whenever the majority want something which Brat disapproves of it's
only because it is being manipulated by "the corp whore media" and
thus is not really then expressing "free speech".

"Free trade" is merely the excretions of the demands of the mob - so
long of course as Brat approves of it.

There's really not much more to it than that - and he will provide you
with an array of (out of context) quotes from the only three thinkers
he has ever read - Montesquieu, Jefferson, and DeToqueville - in
sup****t of it, including even (from Jefferson) the desirability of
guillotining the rich.
