I read about this, too, and was not too happy. But the total number is
very small (hundreds). The much bigger sub-population is Mexicans
(i.e. both not born in the USA _and_ not citizens). For them, its
instant citizen****p when they complete their tour of duty. And, when
they finish, I'll bet they don't have any problem getting a job in the
USA, either.
