Your delusions of grandeur may be even greater than Dan's.

Of course it is a delusion no greater than all the other people's of
the world and their gov'ts, e.g. the Arabs, etc. who think the oil
originally discovered and developed by private (mostly western
companies) is theirs.

The resources of the world belong to those who exploit it - who
invest, explore, and risk their capital to bring it to market. No one
else. The only purpose of gov't in this process is to ensure that this
process occurs peacefully and that private property rights are fully
protected.
