It sure is when one considers that there is 100's of years supply of
oil - much of it effectively "locked up" by gov't edict, e.g. ANWR, or
in politically unstable parts of the world.

Fortunately - at least for now - technological innovation will once
again save the day. For now that will focus on the 5.4trillion barrels
of heavy crude and oil sand deposits, fortunately (again) with about
half of that in the US and Canada.

Very deep drilling could also prove effective - especially if the
abiotic theory is correct, though admittedly it is still highly
speculative.

But, yes, you are correct. It "is an epoch time". Perhaps as never
before mankind is embracing self-immolation, this time in the name of
"the environment" and the various hoaxes at its base. But it is also
not new. Cf. The Dark Ages.
